“ Definitely a hole in the wall place in China. You come here for the food, not the ambience or service, though the service is pretty efficient. The BBQ over rice does give you a lot of meat. We usually can share that between 2 people. Their BBQ is good and regular dish is on point. The price seems to have gone up quite a bit after Covid tho. ”
“ Delicious meal to end our visit in SF! Located in Chinatown, Kam Po Kitchen is a mom and pop shop that serves delicious Chinese food. Do not let the unassuming atmosphere deter you from stopping by. As tourists, we had no issues with navigating the menu and ordering. We ordered the wonton noodle soup and two item rice plate (with roasted pork and duck). Both dishes really hit the spot. The roasted pork was perfectly crispy, and the duck was so moist. Each dish had a decent portion size. We paid less than $25 for both dishes - how great is that! ”
“ The bbq pork has less sauce than expected but the meat was soft and amazing. Best one is the roast pork. Perfect crunchiness and flavor (no hoisin and sugar needed). Amazing food. Would come back again whenever I get a chance. 3 of us, $37! Cheap! Place is small though! Must-try! Authentic shop!!!!!! Service is okay! Typical asian restaurant service but food is chef kiss. ”
“ Can't believe I haven't written a review sooner. This is hubs' fave Chinese BBQ place, but it's a trek to make it to Chinatown to get his fix. When we are able to make it, hubs goes all out - roast pork, roast duck, salt and pepper fish, garlic green beans, eggplant, chow fun . . . We enjoy every dish. I'd say they make the best roast pork and roast duck. I'm not a huge roast duck person, but I like it from here - more meaty and not as fatty as other places. This place is busy. Non-stop customers and tables usually full. Cash only. There's only one waitress who takes orders and serves the tables, and she hustles. We're never disappointed when we visit here. ”
“ It's cheap, fast, good food in Chinatown. What more can you expect? Note that it's cash only, a two-person family business, and not the most foreigner friendly but you knew it wasn't some Michelin star or Bib Gourmand restaurant. You go in, preferably with a menu item already chosen, point to it or show a picture of it, and wait for a steaming overloaded plate to be thrown in front of you. The flavors were good and strong, satisfied my craving for Chinese duck/pork, and I was in and out in less than 30 minutes. ”
